Project Management Flow

  • Project Planning
    • Develop the project schedule
    • Identify the key stakeholders
    • Verify scope and assumptions. Planning call with customer to include Project Manager and SME's
    • Create risk management plan
    • Assign roles and responsibilities
  • Project Execution
    • Identify project team
    • Perform pilot to validate scope
    • Follow communication and escalation path as outlined in our project plan (WBS)
    • Identify risk and develop mitigation plan
    • Change control system (change orders)
    • Daily updates to include any issues, milestones, project documents, and issues and actions
  • Monitor & Control
    • Verify that we followed all our QC processes
    • QC (#1 function of M&C)
    • Change management (Did we get the CO's we needed?)
    • Corrective/preventive action reports
    • Documentation for any out of scope activities (even zero dollar CO's)
    • Validate our processes and make changes if needed
  • Project Closeout
    • Closeout call with customer/vendor
    • Any open action items
    • Project sign-off
    • All project managment tools updated
    • Project billing (this should be done bi-weekly throughout the project)
    • Lessons learned (this could include any changes to scope, corrective actions, items we need to improve on)
